Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said during the company's latest earnings call that GTA 6's $99.99 Ultimate Edition is currently outpacing the standard $79.99 edition in early pre-order numbers.
Zelnick was careful not to over-read the trend, noting that the split likely reflects who tends to pre-order a game this early. The most dedicated fans — the ones willing to commit months ahead of release — are also the ones most likely to spend more on a premium edition, he suggested, rather than it necessarily signaling broader demand for the higher-priced tier once the wider public starts buying closer to launch.
Take-Two has not broken down exact pre-order figures publicly, so the comparison remains a directional signal rather than a hard number. Still, it's a notable early data point given how much attention GTA 6's pricing structure — a $10 increase over GTA 5's original pricing at launch — has drawn since pre-orders opened.
